Five term Southbury Selectman Jason Buchsbaum is the Republican candidate for Connecticut State Representative for the 69th House District.  The 69th District consists of Bridgewater, a portion of New Milford, Roxbury, and a majority of Southbury.  

Throughout his time in public service, Jason has taken a results-driven, data-based approach to decision making, while also advocating for transparency, civil discourse, and collaboration in government. Jason has prioritized fiscal responsibility through budgetary oversight, as well as support for education and local emergency services.  He is a strong supporter of local police, fire, and EMS teams and has been a key participant in the current effort in Southbury to transition to an independent police force, a public safety enhancement for the community.  His efforts have helped Southbury achieve stable taxes and fiscally sound budgets, provide improved services, and attract new business.  He is determined and excited to have the opportunity to bring these values to Hartford.
